Kaimon Shocho (海門承朝)

Kaimon Shocho (1374 – June 6, 1443) was the prince of Emperor Chokei of the Southern Court (Japan). He is known as King Shocho. He entered the priesthood and became a Zen priest and 30th abbot of Shokoku-ji Temple. At a later date he became a recluse at Keiju-in, a mountainside sub temple of Tenryu-ji Temple.
